In 2007, Marius Mauragas, a tourism professional, decided to start his own business. This entrepreneur relied on his many years of experience and well-established connections in the industry, so the start was not difficult.
He decided to call the company Baltic Blues Travel and focus on leisure groups in the 3 Baltic States of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. By the end of the year, Baltic Blues Travel had already arranged tours for 48 groups from Russia, France, the Netherlands and Germany.
Currently, Baltic Blues is the 4th largest DMC in Northern and Eastern Europe, arranging holidays for nearly a thousand groups per year in 10 countries. It developed into the Baltic Blues House—a group of destination management companies specializing in leisure, MICE and adventure travel with 5 offices in 4 countries.
However, despite its rapid growth, the company still maintains the spirit of a family business with a flat hierarchy and excellent working atmosphere. Baltic Blues House is a great place for tourism professionals, as there are regular incentive trips in different countries, annual meetings in beautiful venues, a weekend kayak trip, the tradition to have fun activities for each employee’s birthday, and many more events. Moreover, Baltic Blues House focuses on professional growth and constantly arranges numerous training courses for its employees.
